Bayern begin talks to extend Michael Olise’s deal by three years
Bayern are set to negotiate a three-year extension for Michael Olise, potentially adding a release clause over €200m and boosting wages.
Bayern Munich are set to enter talks to extend Michael Olise for three years, with his current deal running until 2029, Bild reports. The push comes after a standout start to the 2026-2027 season: four Bundesliga goals in as many matches, including a hat-trick against Union Berlin before the break, and a key moment as France beat Belgium on Monday.
The negotiations, according to Bild, could also hinge on wages. Olise could earn roughly €10m more per season than the €14m he makes now, and Bayern may move to add a release clause that does not exist currently. Bild mentions a figure of at least €200m.
If Olise were to leave, Florian Wirtz would be one of the names considered, though Karl-Heinz Rummenigge sounded cautious about the German recently. The club’s stance was already clear: Uli Hoeness said in late July that Olise has three years left and that any exit was “out of the question”.
