Bayern hits pause: Olmo and Koundé, no January moves

Christian Falk denies talks are underway: Bayern keeps Dani Olmo and Jules Koundé on the radar, but won’t act in the winter window.

Bayern Munich have no plan to make moves for Dani Olmo (FC Barcelona) or Jules Koundé (FC Barcelona) in the January transfer window, according to Christian Falk, a key reporter for the club’s affairs.

Falk—BILD’s football correspondent—adds that there are “no negotiations under way and no plans” to push either deal right now. Still, the Bundesliga champions’ interest in both players is not new.

In Olmo’s case, the monitoring has been ongoing for a while: early October, Mundo Deportivo reported that Bayern had him on its radar, and earlier Sky Sports suggested they could spend up to €90 million. For Koundé, Falk points out Bayern tried to sign him before his arrival in Spanish football, and he flags the price as the main obstacle, placing a hypothetical fee between €80 and €90 million.
