Bernd Reichart joins Real Madrid’s management structure
The former A22 CEO linked to the Super League will lead the club’s business area and works closely with José Ángel Sánchez.
Real Madrid has added Bernd Reichart to its management setup, with the move aimed at the front office rather than the playing squad. As reported by As, and referenced by Mundo Deportivo, the German, previously CEO of A22—the company behind the Super League—takes over a position that had been vacant.
Reichart was one of the visible figures of that plan and the person who communicated the proposed competition format to the media, before UEFA, EFC and Real Madrid reached an arrangement to follow European governing rules for the Champions League.
His role will cover the club’s business area: marketing, management of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, and sponsorship deals, working directly with José Ángel Sánchez, Real Madrid’s general director.
