Bordalás gives Getafe a break to recharge
Getafe’s coach says accumulated fatigue is behind a planned rest period before the league restarts and a demanding European run.
José Bordalás wants the international break to act as a real reset for Getafe. As MARCA reports, the coach described what happened after the match against Málaga as “a non-stop grind,” and now looks to turn that period into a proper recharge following the side’s second win of the season.
The fatigue behind it
According to MARCA, Bordalás pointed out that recent weeks have brought significant fatigue, with the team relying on nearly the same players. The workload also included the Conference League qualifying stage, with travel to Serbia among the trips, all packed into roughly a month and a half.
That’s why, as MARCA notes, Getafe enter the international break with eight points and sitting mid-table, but with a clear need to recover before the tough stretch ahead.
Back in action at Camp Nou
Bordalás, per MARCA, will grant several days of rest before the next match: the team returns to competition after about twenty days, beginning at the Camp Nou.
After facing Barça at Spotify Camp Nou, the plan is to travel to Romania for the club’s European debut, their fourth appearance in continental competition. With a schedule of three straight weeks playing Thursday and then again over the weekend, the idea of the break is to arrive with both legs and focus for what’s next.
