Borja Iglesias out for a month and a half: left calf tear for Celta
Celta confirm a left soleus myotendinous tear, initially estimated to keep Borja Iglesias out for around six weeks.
Celta have confirmed that Borja Iglesias is suffering a myotendinous tear in the left soleus, with an initial return timeframe of six weeks. The 33-year-old was injured last Tuesday during training at the Cidade Deportiva Afouteza after feeling sharp pain.
Per the club’s findings from medical tests carried out in recent hours, the “Panda” has already started his recovery treatment under the supervision of Celta’s medical staff. The early prognosis suggests he will be sidelined for about a month and a half, causing him to miss several matches for the Galician side in both domestic competition and the Europa League.
The injury is a setback for Claudio Giráldez, who will be without one of his key attacking references as the timeline depends on the player’s progress.
