Borja Jiménez takes charge of Cádiz after a poor start
Cádiz confirm Borja Jiménez as head coach and will present him on Saturday at 13:30, with Ceuta next.
Cádiz have confirmed Borja Jiménez as their new head coach in a bid to turn things around after a difficult start to the season under Albert Celades. The deal was agreed in recent hours and, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, Jiménez has already taken part remotely in first-team preparations throughout the week.
The club announced the agreement on Thursday with the 41-year-old from Avilés. He arrives from Al-Ahli in Qatar and has past experience in Spain, having managed Mirandés, Cartagena, Deportivo de La Coruña, Leganés and Sporting de Gijón. Alongside him, Alejandro Martínez and Sergio Vázquez join the staff as assistants.
Jiménez is scheduled to arrive in Cádiz on Friday and be officially presented on Saturday at 13:30 in the press room at the JP Financial Estadio. His first match comes next Sunday against Ceuta.
