Bradley Barcola delivers a treble as Cherki struggles in Man City-PSG

This Tuesday, during the second matchday of the Champions League league phase, French talent stood out across European pitches. Bradley Barcola produced a treble, while Rayan Cherki couldn’t make a difference in the Manchester City-PSG game.

As L’Équipe pointed out, many French players were in action around Europe for their continental fixtures. In the City vs PSG clash, the match swung thanks to Barcola’s scoring, in stark contrast to Cherki’s inability to meaningfully affect proceedings.

The evening, then, offered two clear takes: Barcola at his most decisive, and Cherki unable to tilt the balance.
