Bruno Lage monitored by French clubs while at Al-Diriyah
The Portuguese coach, currently at Al-Diriyah in Saudi Arabia, is being watched by several French sides, RMC Sport reports.
The Portuguese coach Bruno Lage may be working in Saudi Arabia, but several French clubs are keeping an eye on him. He is currently in charge at Al-Diriyah, where he took over as head coach this summer.
Al-Diriyah sit 9th in the SPL, four points off the spots that qualify for Asian competitions. RMC Sport adds that his situation is being followed by multiple clubs in France, without identifying which ones.
The interest is driven by his European background (Benfica, Wolverhampton and also Botafogo) and his track record with Benfica: two league titles and two Portuguese Super Cups. His work developing talent—citing Rúben Días, João Félix and Carreras—is also considered a plus in a tighter economic climate in France.
