Bryan Zaragoza: RFEF opens case over chants at Málaga-Espanyol
RFEF’s Discipline Committee is reviewing chants aimed at Bryan Zaragoza after his 13th-minute goal and during his substitution.
The RFEF’s Discipline Committee has opened a case over chants from the stands aimed at Bryan Zaragoza during Málaga-Espanyol last Friday. The incidents targeted the Espanyol player and came after he scored, at 13 minutes.
As detailed in the competition’s report, the chants were heard twice from the Fondo Sur area (sections 112, 114, 116, 220, 222, 224, 226, 228 and 230):
- At 28 minutes, lasting 25 seconds.
- At 72 minutes, lasting 10 seconds, when the player was being substituted and left the pitch.
Per Mundo Deportivo, the League filed the complaint with the RFEF. An instructor has been appointed to gather further information and submit a proposed sanction. In similar cases, the most likely outcome is a fine, potentially accompanied by a warning about closing the Málaga stadium.
