Bundesliga pushes a consensus on 50+1 to avoid long court cases

The Bundesliga board wants to steer clear of long legal battles and is therefore moving toward a consensus around the 50+1 rule.

As kicker reports, the plan is to reach an agreement with clubs that have exemptions, while waiting for the Bundeskartellamt’s final assessment on how 50+1 should be handled. During the first half of 2027, the league plans to submit final proposals to define a unified way to set up and apply the rule with the clubs involved.
