Canal+ president says the group won’t rule out bidding for Ligue 1 TV rights

Canal+ says it does not rule out submitting a bid for the next tender for Ligue 1 television rights covering 2027-2032, which the LFP will launch on 3 November, according to L’Équipe.

Maxime Saada, president of Canal+’s executive board, sets a clear condition for any move: «If we do something in this area, it has to be profitable». The comments come amid a long-running dispute between Canal+ and the LFP.
