According to MARCA, the incident came at minute 56. Diomande was trying to break lines when João Cancelo stood on his right calf while chasing the ball. Referee Munuera Montero let play continue and showed no card, even though the replay shows a clear challenge that could have been a red. Tchouaméni, who saw it from a privileged spot, raised his arms straight away.

Five minutes later, at 61', Raphinha levelled at 1-1 for Barcelona. Madrid protested both the challenge and the referee's decision to let it go.
