Carlos Romero and Nathan Saliba are doubts for Mestalla with Villarreal
Villarreal fear for Romero’s left adductor and Saliba’s muscle issue ahead of Saturday’s LaLiga trip to Valencia at Mestalla.
Carlos Romero and Nathan Saliba, from Villarreal, returned from Liverpool carrying knocks and may miss the upcoming LaLiga match at Mestalla next Saturday against Valencia. If both don’t make it, they would join the already sidelined Nicolás Pepe.
Late Fitness Checks
- Romero was left out of the Champions League squad in England at the last moment with left adductor problems.
- Saliba had to be replaced in the match at Liverpool due to muscle issues.
As Villarreal await the medical tests needed to confirm the severity, both are major doubts for the derby. The club also has Nicolás Pepe listed out: after surgery on his eyes, he is still in the recovery phase, as Mundo Deportivo reports.
