Caroline Graham’s renewal pays off: seven goals and nine assists
Caroline Graham, with Barcelona, has seven goals and nine assists in eight games and now faces an international break with minor issues
Caroline Graham, of FC Barcelona, extended her contract after finishing it last June and has started the season in a way that’s already shaping the team: seven goals and nine assists in eight matches across Liga F and the Champions League.
As Mundo Deportivo reports, the club made a strong offer to match her status and influence in the dressing room, aiming to keep bigger teams away. Graham’s message was clear from the start: if Barcelona gave her the conditions she needed, she wouldn’t even consider proposals from outside.
Her impact has been constant. Along with Sydney Schertenleib, she’s started every game played so far this season. She’s also the only player in the squad who has had a direct hand in the scoreline (goal, assist, or both) in every match Barcelona has played this campaign.
With the international break coming, Graham has been called up for Norway, but minor discomfort means she will rest for the first of the two matches against Romania and is expected to be available for the second.
