Celta Vigo concede just one goal away before Elche trip
Celta go into the Sunday match at Elche unbeaten away in LaLiga: three draws in three games, plus a 5-0 win over Racing.
Celta Vigo are LaLiga’s best in terms of goals conceded on the road: they have allowed just one goal in league matches away from Balaídos. That lone strike came at Getafe, with Martín Satriano scoring; the other two trips, to Valencia and Real Sociedad, ended 0-0.
Under Claudio Giráldez, Celta play this Sunday at Elche aiming to keep their away run going. This season they have not lost outside Vigo in LaLiga, with three draws from three away matches.
The context is a strong finish before the international break: Celta beat Racing Santander 5-0. According to MARCA, the club’s home-and-away numbers are very similar this term, but the away form matches (and even echoes) last season, when Celta collected 31 points on the road—their best ever in Primera—eight more than at Balaídos.
