The same transfer gossip points to Johan Manzambi at Aston Villa drawing attention from both Barcelona and Real Madrid after an impressive start to his spell in Birmingham. In the Premier League, Arsenal want to recoup the £55m they paid for Viktor Gyokeres, with a deal more likely at the end of the season than in January.
Elsewhere, Sunderland are preparing a renewed January bid for Geny Catamo, while Everton are monitoring Dion Beljo for the winter market.
