Christ Makosso and Rayan Mandengue ruled out for Auxerre vs Rennes
Auxerre travel to Rennes this Sunday (17:15) for Matchday 6 with Makosso suspended and Mandengue out with adductor pain.
Auxerre head to Rennes this Sunday at 17:15 (Ligue 1 Matchday 6) without Christ Makosso, who is suspended, and Rayan Mandengue, who has an adductor problem.
As reported by L'Équipe, coach Will Still was pleased that “nobody got injured” during international duty, but confirmed Makosso’s absence: the Congolese centre-back was suspended after receiving a yellow card. He picked it up in the Brest match (3-1, 20 September) and had already served his automatic ban against Angers following his sending off at Lens (22 August).
Mandengue, meanwhile, will miss the trip due to adductor pain picked up in a friendly vs Clermont (4-2, 2 October). Left-back Sékou Fofana is also still unavailable; he hasn’t played this season and is “still nursing his pubalgia,” which is taking longer than expected.
For the long-term cases, Still said Marvin Senaya (thigh) and Telli Siwé (knee) are back on the pitch, while Bryan Okoh (knee) has resumed running. Senaya and Siwé could be ready after the next international break (mid-November), while Okoh is more likely in January.
