Andreas Christensen was injured before the hour and his setback has raised concerns at Barça, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Danish centre-back went down after a duel with Sevilla striker Robbie Ure, and although it looked initially like a routine collision, he was taken off.

Pain in the left thigh

While waiting on the bench, Christensen showed clear signs of discomfort and indicated to the medical staff the back of his left thigh. The report suggests it could turn into a muscle injury. He looked visibly distressed, with doctors applying ice.

Flick made the change

Hansi Flick responded by bringing on Gerard Martín. Before the incident, Christensen was having a solid match and was contributing in the offensive phase: the article notes he carried forward and then assisted Raphinha in the lead-up to the 1-1.

Mundo Deportivo adds that if this turns out to be serious, it may not be related to his previous long layoff: a cruciate ligament rupture kept him out for almost six months. Before that, he also had issues with the Achilles tendon.
