Christopher Nkunku racks up a first-half hat-trick for Leipzig vs Frankfurt

Christopher Nkunku, RB Leipzig, reminded everyone of his level after returning this summer. On Saturday’s match against Eintracht Frankfurt, the French forward scored a hat-trick in a single first half.

As L'Équipe notes, Nkunku had already found his best form in his earlier Leipzig spell from 2019 to 2023. This game underlines that his goalscoring impact hasn’t gone away, at least when Leipzig needs him most.
