CSD refers Javier Tebas’ Real Madrid comments to the TAD
The CSD asks the TAD to assess a possible serious breach linked to Tebas’ 16 October X post.
The Spanish Council for Sport (CSD) said it has referred to the TAD the comments made by Javier Tebas in which, according to the CSD, he compared Real Madrid’s communications with propaganda linked to Goebbels. The body points to the post on X from 16 October.
In its written request, the CSD argues the case should be reviewed to see whether there are signs of a breach of article 76.4.b of Spain’s 1990 sports law, which classifies as a serious offence “notorious and public acts” that undermine sports dignity or decorum. The TAD could even impose a ban from holding positions in a sports entity for between one month and two years.
Asked about the possibility of a sanction, Tebas told L’Equipe: “Me parecería inaudito… creo que ser apartado de mi puesto es imposible… No hablo de fondo, sino de una manera de comunicar”. (Mundo Deportivo).
