Dani Carvajal could debut for Getafe at the Coliseum vs Rayo

Dani Carvajal (Getafe) is in line to debut in the blue jersey this Monday at the Coliseum against Rayo Vallecano. The full-back, announced by Getafe just days ago, is beginning a very different stage after a career closely tied to Real Madrid.

As Mundo Deportivo reports, his first appearance still depends on how quickly he recovers match intensity after months without playing, and José Bordalás doesn’t seem willing to rush him back. Kiko Femenía starts as favourite at right back, but Carvajal could get his first minutes if the coach believes he’s ready.

Carvajal arrives with major pedigree, including six Champions League titles, but his focus right now is the Coliseum game. “The only thing I can imagine is the coach putting me on on Monday and letting me play again,” he said, stressing he wants to be involved as soon as possible.
