Dani Carvajal: LaLiga’s criteria and LCPD block a Getafe move
LaLiga values the defender at €2.6m and Getafe’s LCPD is €56.7m—the key filter behind the stalled agreement.
Dani Carvajal has already passed his medical and Getafe and the player have reportedly reached an economic agreement aimed at getting him inside the club’s cost limit. The catch, according to MARCA, is that LaLiga’s Valuation Committee must still price him and confirm the registration fits the club’s LCPD.
The bottleneck is the LCPD
Getafe’s LCPD sits at €56.7m. The committee then weighs different factors: some could help the club (age and injury situation), while others work against it depending on recent performance.
The €2.6m valuation is the issue
Pablo Pinto (DAZN) puts Carvajal’s valuation at €2.6m, a figure Getafe may struggle to absorb. If the final valuation prevents “fit” within the LCPD, the deal could force the player to reconsider.
There’s also a contractual complication. Roberto Gómez, on Radio MARCA, said Carvajal wants a clause allowing him to leave in the January window if another club makes an offer—something that has made the negotiations harder.
