Dani Carvajal negotiates with Getafe to return to LaLiga
ABC reports the right-back could undergo a medical with Getafe; the club are 11th with eight points from seven games.
Dani Carvajal is in talks with Getafe to return to LaLiga, ABC reports. The right-back is currently without a club after his contract with Real Madrid ended on June 30. The outlet says talks are progressing and that there’s even been talk of Carvajal, 34, taking the relevant medical exam with the Spanish side.
For Getafe coach José Bordalás, landing the player would be a boost in a demanding spell. The club sit 11th with eight points from seven LaLiga matches and are also juggling three competitions (League, Copa del Rey and Conference League).
Bordalás has repeatedly called for a deeper squad since pre-season. After Getafe’s 1-0 win over Málaga (Ivan Azón scored), he said: "This is exhausting." In the right-back spot, Getafe already have Andrés García on loan from Aston Villa, while Kiko Femenía has been out since early September with a rupture to the hamstring’s biceps femoris.
