Dani Carvajal returns to the squad for Getafe vs Rayo
The 34-year-old, signed on October 13, is in Bordalás’ lineup for this Monday’s home game against Rayo Vallecano.
Dani Carvajal, 34, has made Bordalás’ squad list for this Monday’s match as Getafe host Rayo Vallecano. The defender returns to an official call-up after leaving Real Madrid, where he said goodbye at the Bernabéu on May 26 following 23 years and later becoming a free agent.
Carvajal signed for Getafe on October 13, though he was left out for the Conference League game versus U Craiova. Asked about his readiness to start, Bordalás refused to give details in his press conference: “Dani has been working brilliantly with the rest of the team and the group. Until tomorrow I won’t make the decision and you’ll know then whether he finally plays or not. He’s ready like the rest of the players and we’ll decide tomorrow.”
