Davide Ancelotti baffled by Lille style criticism despite winning
Lille boss Davide Ancelotti addressed criticism of the team’s style after a 1-0 win at Le Havre on Saturday.
Lille head coach Davide Ancelotti said he’s puzzled by criticism of his team’s playing style despite strong results. He explained that he is still looking for the best formula, while continuing to win matches, including Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Le Havre.
The remarks highlight the contradiction around his side: as reported by L'Équipe, Ancelotti is trying to refine his team’s approach, but the debate follows them both when they win and when they don’t.
That 1-0 win over Le Havre buys him some extra time to keep shaping the identity of Lille in Ligue 1.
