Davinchi demands justice again after Adamuz train tragedy

Davinchi, a Getafe player, has spoken again about the Adamuz rail disaster eight months after the tragedy. As Sport reports, the 18-year-old lost his father, David Cordón, in the incident that left 46 dead and 152 injured.

Justice, not just words

Through Instagram, the footballer expressed his grief once more and rejected the idea that money or official messages could make up for the loss. Sport adds that Davinchi is asking for responsibilities and for the circumstances of what happened to be clarified.

A direct message to Óscar Puente

In his post, Davinchi went after Spain’s Transport minister, Óscar Puente, urging him to resign. Sport includes the key lines from the publication, where the player said that compensation and “empty words” are not enough without real consequences, ending with: “Resign already, murderer Óscar Puente.” The message was shared with a childhood photo with his father.

On the case itself, the investigation is still ongoing. Sport notes that a Guardia Civil report made public in September highlighted a major anomaly: a fracture located in a weld joining two rail sections of different ages. The report was sent to the court handling the investigation, although the full impact of those findings is yet to be established in both the technical and legal parts.

For Davinchi, the tragedy was especially personal: his father had travelled to Madrid to watch one of his matches before returning to Andalusia. Eight months on, the player continues to carry the memory while going on with his career at Getafe, Sport concludes.
