Dean Huijsen misses the World Cup: “it was a very sad moment”

Dean Huijsen, of Real Madrid, opened up on COPE’s El Partidazo after Spain’s Nations League match, when asked about how he felt being left out of the US World Cup.

The defender said it was “a very sad moment for me and my family” and admitted, “I really struggled”, before stressing that the key now is “to be back”. He also noted that Luis de la Fuente has included him this time for an international break of four games.

Huijsen summed up his mindset with: “the demand is to keep winning.”
