Deco secures Barça: Raphinha set to renew until 2030
FC Barcelona is pushing more renewals: Raphinha will extend to June 2030 as Deco looks to lock in Bernal and Xavi Espart.
Deco, at FC Barcelona, is driving a clear squad-safeguarding push: Raphinha will extend his deal to June 2030 after agreeing on a two-year extension, as he was set to announce in the club’s September assembly. The Brazilian arrives as LaLiga’s top scorer with 12 goals and 14 in eight matches, and the club is expected to make the renewal official soon—meaning he would finish the Barça stint at almost 34 years old.
With Hansi Flick already secured until at least June 2028, the next steps include renewals for Marc Bernal and Xavi Espart. Espart has been the surprise of the early season, featuring on the right while pushing Balde and Cancelo down on the left.
Before the international break, Barça also moved to protect Hamza Abdelkarim until June 2030, raising his release clause to €150 million after a strong preseason. Earlier in 2026, Fermín López was tied down until 30 June 2031 (signed 30 January), and the only current player whose contract expires next June is Wojciech Szczesny.
