Deportivo get Noé Carrillo back for first-team training
The Teo midfielder is back with the group after a ankle sprain, reinforcing a midfield stretched ahead of the Porto friendly.
Deportivo have brought back Noé Carrillo for first-team duties: the Teo academy player is already training with the group after the ankle sprain that kept him out since the Teresa Herrera. As Sport reports, his return window pointed to October, and he’s now in first-team dynamics, though he still isn’t doing everything.
His return comes with a depleted squad and rotation needs for Antonio Hidalgo, with this Wednesday’s session serving as preparation for next Friday’s friendly vs FC Porto at Riazor (19.00). The midfield situation is strained by Marc Casadó’s injury, Teun Gijselhart’s departure, and Lorenzo Amatucci’s physical issues; meanwhile Aubameyang, Ximo Navarro, Altimira, Riki and Luismi Cruz are on individualized work after four days off.
Carrillo, who started the Teresa Herrera match against Real Madrid before twisting his ankle in the first half, described the recovery in La Opinión: “Fue la más grande… y ya me tuve que operar,” adding that he suffered a setback after three months without playing. With his ability to carry the ball between the lines and the goal vs Leganés, Deportivo gain an “advanced eight” option for a midfield that needs more interior presence.
