Deportivo head to Anoeta looking to end their away hoodoo vs Real Sociedad

Deportivo remain unbeaten away this season and have gone ten matches without losing since February—Sunday’s match is at 16:15.

Deportivo travel to Real Sociedad’s Anoeta this Sunday (16:15) with the aim of continuing their strong away form and, at the same time, ending a long-standing poor record at the stadium. The Antonio Hidalgo-coached side are one of just four Primera teams who have yet to lose on the road this campaign.

So far this season, Deportivo have won at La Cerámica and have drawn at La Rosaleda and the Coliseum. The wider away run is even better: they are on a streak of ten straight outings—across Primera and Segunda—without a defeat since last February, and they have not left any ground without points.

Six visits without a win

However, Anoeta has been the exception. Deportivo have gone six consecutive visits there without winning (four draws and two defeats). The last time they played at the stadium, in February 2018, they were thrashed 5-0, a result that led to Cristóbal Parralo being sacked. This Sunday they have a chance to break the curse and take at least a point before returning to A Coruña.
