Dilane Bakwa eyes a Lille breakthrough after Ethan Mbappé’s injury

Ethan Mbappé’s injury, combined with a run of games, creates an opportunity for Dilane Bakwa to force his way into Lille’s plans.

As L’Équipe points out, the Lille coaching staff are looking at the right-wing option—the player is on loan from Nottingham Forest—as cover to claim minutes in the right attacking role while the squad is stretched by the fixture pile-up.

The timing is key for Bakwa to turn that chance into performance and make his case during this period.
