Eder Aller: right hip arthroscopy and around four months out

The Barça Atlètic goalkeeper underwent surgery for a labrum-and-cartilage issue; his return is estimated in about four months.

FC Barcelona said Eder Aller (Barça Atlètic goalkeeper) has undergone hip arthroscopy—on the right hip—to treat a labrum and cartilage injury. The club puts his downtime at around four months, after a procedure described as “successful”.

The operation was performed by the club’s medical team doctors Fabián Urraza and Marc Aguilar at Hospital de Barcelona. Aller has been a captain for Barça Atlètic and, although he hadn’t played for the reserve side yet, he did feature for Juvenil A in the Youth League.

In LaLiga’s early rounds, he was even called up with the first team in the first three matches, and later was included for fixtures against Elche, Athletic and Rayo Vallecano. With Barça Atlètic, he appeared in the match versus Náxara and started the Youth League opener against Feyenoord, but was taken off at half-time due to discomfort and has not played since.
