Edin Terzic on Valencia-Athletic: “a pretty crazy game”
Terzic rued Athletic’s lack of finishing at Mestalla and spoke cautiously about Guruzeta’s injury.
Edin Terzic, Athletic Club head coach, assessed Valencia-Athletic at Mestalla and summed it up as “a pretty crazy game”. He also said that if, at half-time, he’d been told they would leave without a point, he wouldn’t have agreed, pointing to the opportunities they created.
Finishing and the final third
The German coach argued that the issue is not new: “We haven’t managed to finish the plays… We have to improve our chances”. He added that Valencia defended the spaces well and highlighted the need to get better in “the final third”.
Cautious on Guruzeta
Terzic was careful regarding Guruzeta’s injury, stressing respect: “Guru might be something more serious”. He said more clarity will come in “one or two days”, once the medical tests are completed.
