Edin Terzic warns against “Google or ChatGPT solutions” as Athletic chase a first win
Athletic aim for their first victory in time this Wednesday vs Levante, as Terzic addressed Guruzeta and the team’s lack of goals.
Edin Terzic, head coach of Athletic Club, kicked off his press conference ahead of this Wednesday’s game against Levante by saying you “can’t go to Google or ChatGPT to find solutions”. He also spoke with regret about Guruzeta’s serious injury, explaining that the medical staff alerted him during Saturday’s match and that the forward previously suffered a similar problem in the other knee.
Terzic downplayed the team’s lack of goals: “it’s not something you fix on the training pitch… it’s part of our process”. Still, he admitted they need to improve the “timing” and decision-making needed to be more dangerous and effective in the final third.
Lezama and attacking call
On possible changes, he said “Nico” did little on Monday and trained well on Tuesday, and they will decide how much he can help “tomorrow or on Sunday”. He added that “Sancet needs a week to adapt” after still carrying pain last week. Terzic also noted that with the absences, they must adjust as a team to replace the attacking profile Guruzeta and “Maroan” provide—playing in the box and causing problems for the opponent.
