Elche return to training without Cepeda, Revivo, Boayar and Sangaré
Elche restart training after three days off, with several absences due to international duty and Sangaré out with a muscle injury.
Elche returned to training this Tuesday after three days of rest. The session did not include Lucas Cepeda, Roy Revivo, or Adam Boayar, all away on international duty, and Buba Sangaré as well, who is dealing with physical problems.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Cepeda will join Chile for three friendly matches in America. Revivo will play four official games for his national team in the Nations League. Boayar meanwhile is set for commitments with the Morocco Under-21 squad.
Call-ups and Sangaré injury
As for Sangaré, Mundo Deportivo reports that he did not train with the rest of the group due to a muscle injury suffered in last Friday’s match against Espanyol. He was forced off in the first half.
With these absences, Elche—under Martín Anselmi, as Mundo Deportivo notes—has also started preparing for next Friday’s friendly against Cartagena, a Primera Federación club. The coach is expected to give minutes to players who have featured less.
Right now, the main focus for the staff is to monitor Sangaré’s recovery and coordinate the return of the players on international duty.
