The timing couldn’t be more sensitive. This comes after Messi became the club’s main shareholder, following the sequence MARCA outlines: Messi’s takeover of the club, then the signing of coach Javi Calleja. Calleja’s words have also been making the rounds, including the quote MARCA highlights: “That Messi is in the project is a guarantee for everyone.”
