Eldense suffer their worst start: just 5 points from 7 games

Eldense are posting their worst start in LaLiga Hypermotion since returning to the professional ranks, picking up only 5 points out of the 21 available in their first seven matches. That record has sent them back into the relegation zone after a defeat at El Plantío.

So far, the team has one win, two draws and four losses. They beat Sporting de Gijón away, just after Claudio Barragán was sacked and with Josep Ferrando in charge as interim. They then drew in Elda against Cádiz and Mallorca, before losing at Almería, Leganés and Burgos, and also at home against Eibar.

Seven games, pressure rising

In previous seasons at this level, Eldense had managed eight points in the same stage (2023-24 and 2024-25). This Friday, they will host Real Oviedo at the Nuevo Pepico Amat (20:30) for matchday seven, as the club continues its transition tied to the acquisition by Lionel Messi, according to MARCA.
