Ellyes Skhiri setback keeps 1. FC Köln without him longer

Ellyes Skhiri will be out longer for 1. FC Köln after an MRI confirmed the extent of his injury.

1. FC Köln will have to do without Ellyes Skhiri for longer after an MRI scan carried out on Sunday night confirmed the extended recovery time, as reported by kicker.

The midfielder was hurt during the Rhineland derby against Borussia Mönchengladbach: after a foul, he heavily twisted his ankle and had to be taken off the pitch on a stretcher. He left the match immediately and now the medical assessment points to a longer absence.
