Enrique Clemente sidelined for 6-8 weeks with meniscus issue

UD Las Palmas has confirmed in a medical update that Enrique Clemente will be out for six to eight weeks because of a meniscus issue. As the club explains, the Zaragoza defender has been dealing since last season with external meniscopathy in his left knee.

Conservative approach

According to Sport’s account of the club’s statement, for now he is not expected to go under the knife. Clemente will follow a conservative treatment program that will last the same six-to-eight-week window, after which the side plans a new assessment to decide the next steps.

Still competing this season

Even with those discomforts, Clemente has still played in three league matches, starting two, and he scored the winning goal in Cádiz (0-1) on the 12th, Sport notes. From now on, this blow will temporarily disrupt the left-back spot for Las Palmas in LaLiga Hypermotion.
