Eric García is injured in Barcelona–Betis: taken off with right quadriceps pain
Barcelona win again in LaLiga, but Eric García goes off with right quadriceps discomfort and his PSG availability is now in doubt.
Eric García, with FC Barcelona, was taken off minutes before the side wrapped up the win over Real Betis due to a physical problem in the right quadriceps. As Mundo Deportivo reports, the defender dropped after feeling the discomfort and Hansi Flick reacted immediately.
The player left frustrated after treatment from doctor Lucas Gómez and following a brief chat with Sorg, the German coach’s assistant. It isn’t the first issue for García: he previously had a nasal problem that forced him to wear a mask, though he didn’t miss matches because his first Champions League game versus Feyenoord had already been served.
The next question is how serious the injury is and whether he can make it for the PSG match on October 20 in Paris.
