Erik Bretos backs Kubo, Gorrotxategi, Remiro and Oyarzabal

Real Sociedad’s football director Erik Bretos discussed the current form of Take Kubo, Jon Gorrotxategi, Álex Remiro and Mikel Oyarzabal in Zubieta ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Belgium to face Union Saint-Gilloise.

Bretos said about Take Kubo that he is “a fundamental player” even if he is currently playing less than he would like. He stressed that Kubo is training well and that “his chance will come” so he’ll be ready.

Intentions around Remiro

On Álex Remiro, Bretos stated they are aligned: “our intention is for Álex to stay and he also wants to stay here,” so he is not worried about the situation. He added that he is “happy” to see Remiro on the pitch at his best and described him as decisive.

Oyarzabal: more than goals

Finally, Bretos referred to Mikel Oyarzabal, who has not scored for Real Sociedad yet this season. He said that the winger gives the team far more than goals, pointing out that in the previous game his entry was one of the reasons they won.
