Erling Haaland of Manchester City said that supporters travelling to Anfield for the Sunday, October 11 clash in Liverpool “will have a great time.” The Norwegian forward comes in as the Premier League top scorer with five goals in five matches, making him the main threat for the reigning visitors.

Beyond the goals, Haaland also talked about his connection with the stands: “I care a lot about this place… I care a lot about Manchester City… I care a lot about the fans, I’m a fan too and I feel it with them,” as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

The match has a different backdrop than recent seasons, following Jürgen Klopp’s departure from Anfield. On City’s side, the week is overshadowed by legal controversy after the club were found guilty on 114 of 115 charges.
