Europa vs Cartagena: Nil Ruiz’s side aims to repeat XI at Cartagonova
Europa comes off a home win over Algeciras and, with Joan Puig out long-term, chase their first away win this Friday.
Europa play this Friday at Cartagonova against Cartagena, with Nil Ruiz’s plan to repeat the XI after last weekend’s home win versus Algeciras. Luis Blanco’s team travel with Joan Puig the only confirmed absence, injured for the long term, and want their first away victory to sleep at least out of the relegation places.
Cartagena keeping pace
Cartagena arrive on the back of a draw with Antequera and sit sixth, level on points with fifth-placed Alcorcón. Ahead of the match, manager Iñigo Vélez has confirmed absences for Javi Ajenjo, Álex Guti and Boston Billups, while the rest of the squad is available.
Cartagena’s probable starters include Lucho García in goal, with Jurado, Luca Lohr, Imanol Baz and Nacho Martínez in defence; Toni Villa, De Blasis, Clavería and Dacosta in midfield, and Marcos Moreno plus Iban Ribeiro up front. For Europa: Nil Ruiz; Enol Coto, Campeny, Álex Cano and Marcel Sgró; Víctor Morales, Gori and Mascaró; Teto, Flavio and Khalid.
