Facundo Bernal sent off for headbutting Lamine Yamal
Real Betis finished the second half with 10 men vs FC Barcelona after Bernal’s headbutt on Yamal.
Real Betis ended the second half against FC Barcelona a man down after Facundo Bernal was shown a red card for attacking Lamine Yamal with a headbutt.
The incident happened when Fermín was down on the pitch, just before Betis’ second goal, which ultimately did not stand. Betis players moved quickly to lift Fermín to prevent the goal from being reviewed for a prior foul on the Barcelona winger, and Yamal went over to defend his teammate.
During the scuffle, Bernal grabbed Yamal by the neck and then struck him with a headbutt that left the Barça star on the turf, earning the Betis defender his dismissal. When Yamal got back up, he also picked up a yellow card for the argument that followed, according to Mundo Deportivo.
