FC Augsburg stuck in a rut: four games without a win and late goals

FC Augsburg have had strong flashes this season, but the momentum has stalled: they have not won four times in the current run. The issue, as kicker points out, isn’t just what they produce—it’s how they manage games.

The path out of the slump is tied to defensive improvement. In this spell, Augsburg have been letting in goals late on, turning close contests into lost points when it matters most.

With that in mind, the team’s priority is straightforward: tighten up at the back so they don’t repeat the same lapses in the decisive phase.
