Fede Valverde goes off early in the Clásico with a leg problem
The Uruguayan had been bothered by his right leg since the first half and was replaced by Denzel Dumfries in the 60th minute at Camp Nou.
Fede Valverde, of Real Madrid, left the Clásico in the 60th minute with a physical problem. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Uruguayan hurt his right leg after a rough challenge on Cancelo in the first half, but chose to carry on until the break. He walked off on his own feet, clearly frustrated, and Denzel Dumfries came on in his place.
After the interval Valverde had returned to play at right-back despite the discomfort. The match at Camp Nou had opened with a fortunate goal from Mbappé, and Raphinha equalised for Barcelona, leaving Real Madrid chasing the game.
The club has not yet clarified how serious the knock is. Dumfries's arrival, however, gave Real Madrid some fresh legs in a game they needed to turn.
