Fenerbahçe throw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Slavia Prague

Ismail Kartal’s side went from 2-0 up to 2-2 in the Champions after mistakes and a Mason Greenwood goal (11’).

Fenerbahçe drew 2-2 in the Champions and remain winless: after conceding 6-0 to Aston Villa, they also squandered a 2-0 lead versus Slavia Prague.

Aydin opened the scoring in the 4th minute with a curling finish to the far corner. Mason Greenwood made it 2-0 in the 11th minute, converting a cross from Nelson Semedo with a first-time volley. The momentum stopped at 15’, when Guendouzi’s disastrous clearance gifted the ball to Provod, who beat Ederson one-on-one.

The second half lacked bite. The match was largely managed, but the key negative came before the break: Aké left the field with a muscular problem. In the 89th minute, Ayaosi’s run down the right ended with a low cross and a dramatic Kacor finish to seal the 2-2. Fenerbahçe then focused on defending, including after Lukaku’s introduction, but Greenwood was not on the pitch.
