Girona heads back to Montilivi aiming to win both home matches
After the 1-1 at Tenerife, Girona host Andorra and Celta Fortuna: 6 points up for grabs to climb back.
Girona are back at Montilivi after drawing 1-1 at Heliodoro Stadium against Tenerife. Asprilla put the visitors ahead early, but the side lost control until Enric Gallego levelled; from there, Tenerife grew and pushed for more.
Building momentum at home
The point in Tenerife leaves Girona looking for a quick response. The draw cost them ground in the standings, dropping from fourth to seventh, which currently keeps them outside the playoff places. As MARCA reports, the key now is to make the most of two consecutive home games within a run of four home fixtures in five matches: FC Andorra next Sunday and Celta Fortuna on Saturday the 24th.
Girona are also getting players back. Jastin and Stuani were close to returning to the last squad list, and the six internationals will have a full week of training, giving Quique Álvarez more options. The season form supports the push: Girona have lost just one of their last seven matches, with four wins and two draws.
