Girona: Quique Álvarez aims to get Jastin and Stuani back for October

Girona wants to look stronger again after international call-ups and the late stages of muscular injuries to Jastin and Stuani.

Girona, coached by Quique Álvarez, is heading into October with one main goal: get players back. The plan centers on returning Jastin and Stuani, both still working through the final stretch of muscular injuries, while the rest of the group has been gradually rejoining.

In the coming days, Vanat and Asprilla are expected back after their international commitments. Meanwhile, Lass, Krapyvtsov, and Pyshchur—who already got minutes against Mallorca at Montilivi—returned before the last matchday. Holmes Junior has also returned to training after watching the game from the stands. On the injury front, Bryan Gil and Fran Beltrán have recovered and were used as substitutes against Mallorca.

With that, the coaching staff wants to move on from the 10 absences Girona had heading into the penultimate fixture versus Albacete, and the five it had against Mallorca. The target is the same: tighter games, more solidity, and better connections between players to push for the top half and put pressure on teams that started strongly like Eibar, Castellón, and Almería, according to MARCA.
