Gonzalo Petit (Betis) suffers a hamstring injury and misses Granada

The Uruguayan forward on loan at Cádiz has no fixed return date after a muscle injury: it happened during Monday’s training.

Gonzalo Petit, the Uruguayan forward owned by the Real Betis and on loan at Cádiz, is back in the medical room after a muscle injury to his hamstring (biceps femoral). MARCA reports that he felt discomfort during a training session on Monday, and tests confirmed a mioaponeurotic muscle injury.

Cádiz has indicated he will not be available this Sunday vs Granada, and his return depends on how he evolves, with no set recovery timetable. His start to the season has been repeatedly interrupted: so far he has only eight minutes in the game against UD Las Palmas, when he was trying to earn minutes.

Petit arrived in Cádiz last summer to add firepower, but a physical issue already delayed his debut. With Vladys as the main attacker, and Izeta and Álvaro García among the other options, his next step is simply recovery and getting back to consistent training.
